Shaun Stafford: Amazing Transformation

"I didn't realize how big and fat I was until I saw the video", Shaun laughs and hardly believes his eyes how he looked five months earlier. Since then the fitness model has stunningly transformed and improved his physique: much leaner, more muscular, extremely proportioned. This is the inspiring story of Shaun Stafford, who lost 10 kilos (22 lbs) to win the FAME UK Fitness Model competition. The 27 year old personal trainer from London carried more of a rugby build at the start of 2011, but when he decided to enter the FAME Fitness Model category, he set himself the goal of becoming the leanest he's ever been by getting down to 6% body fat. The new look, combined with the blonde hair, confidence and conditioning that make him look like he'd been dipped in bronze, easily wowed the judges and the audience, and Shaun walked away with the Male Fitness Model title. In the video he discloses how he achieved that highly ripped and winning physique.

John Dougherty: Arm Training Posing

It's imposing to watch him flexing his pumped arms. In the first video John Dougherty, a 26-year-old natural bodybuilder and men’s physique competitor, shows his most effective exercises for bicep and tricep. Striking: In his routine John works not only with tools and machines, but also performs exercises using nothing but his bodyweight. In the second video he flexes his arms (offseason).

Matthew McAllister: From Wrestler To Bodybuilder

Matthew's development in the past years is a story of progress. It is documented by the photos (2009) above, the video (2011) and his stats below. Matthew McAllister, a 22 year old bodybuilder and former high school wrestler, competed in his first bodybuilding show when he was in high school. He won the NPC Alabama teen division as a 19 year old. In 2009 more victories followed: He won the men's open middleweight class at an NPC show in his hometown and the middleweight class at the NPC Collegiate Nationals.

Kirill Chayka: Tribute To Zyzz

This video is pure passion for bodybuilding. Kirill Chayka, the 20-year-old fitness enthusiast from Abbeville South Carolina, US, presents a compilation of his workout, posing, and flexing, and evidently enjoys showing off his muscle gains and his impressivley ripped physique. Kirill calls this video a "Tribute to Zyzz", the popular young Australian bodybuilder who died in 2011, and whose ideology was: "Get shredded, or die mirin."

Sadik Hadzovic: Effective Compound Exercise

A men's physique competitor teams up with a teen bodybuilder for a workout session. In this video Sadik Hadzovic teaches Zach Linder a new compound movement, the combination of a barbell squat and a shoulder press.

Beach Bodies

Don’t look now but it’s almost swimsuit season. Are you ready to rock that speedo? Here are some tips to get you beach-ready.

First, take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Perhaps you are carrying around a few extra pounds from the winter doldrums. Like most of us, you probably have your own routine for losing weight. I have only two suggestions. Watch your diet, and sweat. Also be realistic about your weight-loss goals. Experts say you can safely lose two pounds a week. Realistically you can expect to lose one pound per week. In eight weeks you will be down eight pounds, which will make a huge difference in how you look in your swimsuit. (Or naked for that matter...)

Here are some other tips to help you.

1. Mix it up. We all fall into the trap of doing the same thing over and over. Change your routine every four-to-six weeks. A little goes a long way.

2. Pressed for time? Try three 10-minute workouts spread throughout the day. It’s just as effective as a half-hour routine.

3. Let the sun shine in. Now that spring is in full bloom, why not complement your workout with a hike or brisk walk? You’ll alleviate boredom and get a head start on your tan.

4. Good deeds. Sign up for a 5K Race for your favorite cause. The objective isn’t to win, but to set a goal and have the discipline to complete it.

5. Retail therapy. Buy a swimsuit you’d like to be wearing by the start of summer. Leave it out in your kitchen or bedroom so it’s always visible.

6. Rise and shine. To boost your metabolism, exercise in the mornings. You’ll feel instantly energized, curb your appetite and burn more calories all day long.

7. And here are few extra special secret tips to try a few days before you "speedo up." These will help avoid bloating (caused by air or food in the digestive tract) and help you look buff, toned and totally hot.
— Avoiding carbonated beverages.
— Not using straws or chewing gum, which trap air.
— Eating slowly because gulping food traps air.
— Avoiding gas-producing foods such as beans and broccoli.
— Drinking water and eating juicy fruits to clean out your system.
— Skipping salty foods, which cause you to retain more water than the Hoover Dam.

Have fun and see you on the beach!
